My original set up … WebJun 28, 2024 · Easiest to do by removing the entire pedal hanger assembly. The pedal will be mounted high on the hanger and not through the metal bushings. You’ll replace this with a standard manual pedal. I have one from my 68 if you need it. You’ll need the plastic bushing inserts, correct brake switch, cotter pin, etc. All available from NPD.

Otherwise, it's as dustyrelics said. You will definitely want to change the pedal, and I would recommend doing as he says, with getting the manual brake pedal hanger.
